HWW-Hiking route: Friedberg - Stögersbach - Schwaighof (circular trail)
This HWW hiking route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW hiking route runs from Friedberg via Stögersbach to Schwaighof and back to Friedberg. At the HWW station Friedberg/Bärengraben, for example, you can find out what a special position Friedberg has in Wechselland in terms of drinking water supply.

Directions - By car
- via the Südautobahn (A2) to the Pinggau exit
- at the traffic circle take the 3rd exit
- along the B54 in the direction of Graz/Hartberg
- along the Steinamangerer Straße
- turn left onto Hauptplatz Pinggau
- follow Grazer Straße until Hauptplatz Friedberg
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- The HWW hiking route starts in Friedberg.
- It continues via Stögersbach to Schwaighof.
- The Bärengraben and the adventure mountain are intermediate stops.
- The trail ends back in Friedberg.
We recommend enjoying the view on the adventure mountain and treating yourself to a coffee and a pastry in the beautiful guest gardens on the historic main square.
