Chamber Music Concert: Carnival in Dunes (Family Concert 5+)

The sand painting on offer, alongside the classical sounds, makes the carnival as an artistic performance in Gratwein-Straßengel an experience.

Accompanied by music from Camille Saint-Saëns' famous work “Carnival of the Animals” and Tchaikovsky's popular “Nutcracker Suite”, lions, elephants and even dinosaurs come to life. Each animal presents itself in its own way and joins in the celebrations in this musical carnival. The live sand painting is particularly impressive: while the musicians play the animal melodies on the piano, wonderful pictures are created in the sand in real time. The two artists of the Piano & Sand duo use this technique to express the stories of the animals in an impressive visual language and make them tangible for the young audience.

‘Carnival of the Animals’ is not just a concert, but an interactive experience that will delight children and parents alike. The musical pieces are light and playful, allowing children to be effortlessly carried away by the sounds. The unique sand paintings transport the audience into a creative world in which each animal tells its own story and joyfully shows itself to the audience in the Graz Adventure Region.

Treat yourself and your family to an unforgettable excursion in Styria and experience music and art that invites you to marvel. This concert is perfect for anyone looking for a creative approach to classical music for the whole family. Join us on an imaginative journey through the animal world - the Carnival of the Animals awaits you!
