Chamber Music Concert: Carnival in Dunes (Family Concert 5+)

On July 30th at 7:30 p.m., the Chamber Music Festival invites you to a special evening, "Back to the Balkans," at the Hart Community Hall near Graz. Look forward to the international quartet Balkalito, which combines classical music with the vibrant sounds of the Balkans.

The four musicians hail from Serbia, North Macedonia, Austria, and Brazil. With clarinet, accordion, double bass, and percussion, they create a unique blend of classical music and Balkan folk. Their arrangements evoke what Mozart might sound like on Slivovitz and Beethoven on Ćevapčići.

Balkalito emerged from the festival and now returns to the Graz region. Their music is a playground of styles, where they delightfully perform well-known pieces from the Central European musical canon in a Balkan folklore setting.
