An evening full of baroque splendour awaits music lovers in Styria! On 31 August 2025 at 19:30, the Chamber Music Festival invites you to the grand closing concert ‘Wievaldi’ in the impressive Rein Abbey Basilica.
The renowned South African mezzo-soprano Megan Kahts will be performing works by George Frideric Handel and Antonio Vivaldi together with the Oberton+ ensemble and virtuoso cellist Reinhard Latzko. A unique combination of architecture and music is created in the historic setting of the basilica.
The Rein Abbey Basilica is one of the most important Cistercian monasteries in Europe and, with its exceptional acoustics, provides the ideal setting for this concert highlight. Music from the Baroque period unfolds a special radiance here and takes the audience on a journey into past centuries.
Year after year, the Chamber Music Festival delights audiences with high-calibre artists and unusual concert formats. The closing concert ‘Wievaldi’ promises to be a worthy highlight in the Graz Region.
