This autumn hike combines nature and history in the Graz adventure region in a unique way. You follow in the footsteps of the world-famous white horses through brightly coloured deciduous forests. The route leads from the Holy Mountain via the traditional stud farm in Styria to the impressive Alt-Kainach Castle.
Meeting point: 09.15 am at the main square in Bärnbach
Route length: 13 km | ascent 400 hm | walking time approx. 4:00 hrs.
The end of the hike is planned at approx. 2.00 pm, followed by a stop for refreshments in Bärnbach. The return journey by bus & train can be organised flexibly.
Arrival by public transport: S-Bahn line 7 from Graz - Voitsberg, RegioBus 702 Bärnbach main square
Difficulty level: Hike without special requirements, fitness level required for approx. 4 hours and 400 metres ascent
Equipment: good footwear (hiking boots) required, hiking clothing, rucksack, gloves & hat depending on the weather, possibly hiking poles, drink, snack, no refreshments during the hike
Costs: € 15,- pP, payable on site to the guide

The guided hike is organised by the Graz Region Tourism Association in cooperation with the hiking guides. Please note that changes may be possible at short notice. Participation is at your own risk. For safety and organisational reasons, dogs are not permitted!
