This leisurely snowshoe hike on the alpine pasture in the Graz adventure region is ideal for the start of winter. You can enjoy breathtaking views of the peaks of Western Styria without too much effort.
Meeting point: 08.45 am at the Gaberlhaus
Trail length: 10 km | ascent 250 hm | walking time approx. 04.00 hrs.
The end of the hike is at approx. 14.00 hrs, followed by a stop for refreshments. Afterwards you are free to organise your journey home as you wish.
Arrival by public transport: S-Bahn line 7 from Graz - Köflach, RegioBus 726 Köflach - Gaberl; paid parking at the Gaberl car park
Difficulty level: Snowshoe hike without any particular difficulties, fitness required for approx. 4 hours and 250 metres of ascent
Equipment: snowshoes and hiking poles with large plates, good, sturdy footwear (mountain boots) required, winter hiking clothing, rucksack, hat, gloves, warm drink, snack, no refreshments during the hike
Hire: snowshoes including poles for a fee. Pre-booking is essential!
Costs: € 15,- pP, payable on site to the guide

The guided hike is organised by the Graz Region Tourism Association in cooperation with the hiking guides. Please note that changes may be possible at short notice. Participation is at your own risk. For safety and organisational reasons, dogs are not permitted!
