\r\n
We start our enjoyment tour at the Garden-Hotel Ochensberger**** in St. Ruprecht an der Raab and drive south out of town to reach the federal road B 64. There we drive north towards Weiz and turn off a few kilometres after Unterfladnitz to drive via Etzersdorf to the first stop, Puch.
\r\n
In Puch, the first garden awaits us: the Höfler adventure garden. A tree house in the children's area, the water garden as well as the box and rose garden and the rich plant world enchant guests with their great variety and beauty. A true natural treasure! In Puch, the main town of the Styrian Apple Road, there are also numerous places to stop if you want to take a short break.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
Then we head towards Kulm, past the Kulm Celtic Village to Siegersdorf near Herberstein where we can admire the Desert Garden. Exotic nature in the middle of Styria! Brightly coloured plants, rare cacti and other prickly exotics from all over the world thrive in this magnificent collection, naturally embedded in the surroundings.
\r\n
Enjoy this idyllic setting and, on the way there, numerous vantage points with beautiful panoramas of eastern Styria.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
After the desert garden, a longer drive awaits us. We drive via Hirnsdorf and Kaibing to Großsteinbach. If you are travelling in spring or early summer, a detour to the chess flowers is worthwhile here.
\r\n
We continue on the L403 to Großwilfersdorf and on to Söchau. The Söchau herb garden - our next stop - invites you to linger for a while. Also known as the \"Herb Rose Witch Garden\", 120 medicinal herbs thrive here: discover ancient knowledge about the healing powers of plants and relax in the magical oases.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
Our next stop is also particularly worth seeing. We reach this by continuing via Dörfl Bergweg, Oedgraben and Mitterweg II to Stang or Stang bei Hatzendorf and there take the L224 to Eisbrunn-Kollerweg and then follow it to Buchbergweg II/Edelsgraben.
\r\n
The Sabine Kraus country house garden awaits you at Edelsgraben 6. The spacious garden dream in Mediterranean and English country house style has been awarded a gold medal and has been a floral star guest on TV and in magazines several times.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
The rest of the route takes us through the Raab Valley via Buchbergweg II, Leitersdorf until we follow the Güssingertraße / B57 in Leitersdorf in the Raab Valley. Then we take the B68 in the direction of Studenzen and enjoy the village character of the spacious Raabtal.
\r\n
From Studenzen we drive to Siegersdorf 39 - there we find a garden paradise around a 250-year-old country house - the Zettls Landhausgarten.
\r\n
Around 4,000 flower bulbs, English roses, a Japanese element with koi fish pond and shrub rarities at the edge of the forest will enchant you. Take your time and immerse yourself in this country house idyll.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
From here we continue north towards St. Marein bei Graz. Via Mareinberg and Mitttergoggitsch we head towards Hart. In Hart we turn right onto the Streichegg Weg and Sulz Bergweg towards Philemons Garden.
\r\n
This is in the direction of Entschendorf near Gleisdorf and here the last garden highlight of the tour awaits us: palm trees, eucalyptus, 300-year-old olive trees, bananas, agaves, persimmons and lotus - exotic as well as indigenous plants invite us to marvel and the fruits to nibble.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
After these wonderful garden impressions from Eastern Styria, the garden of Austria, we drive back to the Garten-Hotel Ochensberger. We return to Hart as far as Flöcking - i.e. in the direction of Gleisdorf via Bitteregg Weg and Ungerdorf where we cross the E59 motorway access road.
\r\n
Via Flöcking and Ludersdorf we first take the B54 and then at the roundabout the Rechberg Straße/B64 back to the Garten-Hotel Ochensberger.
\r\n
