The tour to the Eisenhut, the highest of all Nockberge peaks, is beautiful, but also a physical challenge that should not be underestimated.

Turracher See - Mei Zeit Hütte - Sonnalm - Sonnenbahn mountain station - Schoberriegel - Gruft - Kaser Höhe - Hoazhöhe - Bretthöhe - Lattersteighöhe - Rapitz Sattel - Wintertaler Nock - Eisenhut - Diesling See - Perner Alm - Altes Forsthaus (Hannebauer)

From Vienna/Lower Austria: Semmering, Mürz-Murtal via Judenburg, Scheifling and Murau to Predlitz - northern access road.

From Graz: via A2 Südautobahn to Klagenfurt Nord, continue in the direction of Feldkirchen, Patergassen, Ebene Reichenau - southern driveway.

From Carinthia: via Feldkirchen or Bad Kleinkirchheim, Ebene Reichenau - southern driveway.

From Germany: via Salzburg, A10 Tauernautobahn to the St. Michael exit (in summer when traffic is heavy: A10 exit Altenmarkt, direction Radstadt, over the Radstädter Tauern, Obertauern, Mauterndorf), direction Tamsweg continue to Predlitz - north driveway.

From the Turracher Höhe, the route leads via Schoberriegel, Gruft, Kaser Höhe and Hoazhöhe up to Bretthöhe and on via Lattersteighöhe, down to Rapitz Sattel, back up to Wintertaler Nock and then finally to the summit of Eisenhut. The descent leads past the Diesling lake and the Perner Alm into the Turrachtal valley to the old forester's lodge (Hannebauer).
