HWW-Hiking route: Pinggau - Friedberg (circular trail)
This HWW hiking route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW hiking route connects the village centers of Pinggau and Friedberg and you will learn a few chapters of the history of this region. The architectural history of the importance of the Pinggau pilgrimage church is explained in more detail at the HWW station Pinggau/Kirche 1.

Arrival by car
- Leave the A2 at the Pinggau/Friedberg exit.
- Turn right onto the B54 in the direction of Pinggau.
- Follow the B54 for approx. 3 km to Pinggau.
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- This HWW hiking route connects the charming village centers of Pinggau and Friedberg.
We recommend visiting the Maria Hasel pilgrimage church in Pinggau or enjoying the view from the adventure mountain in Friedberg.
