The path from Assach to the Stoderzinken is conditionally very demanding, but certainly one of the most beautiful in terms of fauna and flora. From Assach, the trail climbs again and again over relatively steep passages up to the summit of the Stoderzinken. Especially plant lovers can discover something special in every season. Chamois and wild rabbits accompany you on the hike. About "Gedankenstrich", "Verlobungskreuz" and "Friedenskircherl" with its fabulous view, locals can tell you a lot.

More information
- Coming from Schladming/Salzburg: via the Ennstalbundesstraße (B320) - exit Aich - continue to Assach
- Coming from Gröbming/Liezen: via the Ennstalbundesstraße (B320) - exit Assach - continue to the village square Assach
Starting point: Assach Fire Station - continue along the forest road to the Assacher Tenne - from there always uphill to the Assacher Scharte (you cross the forest road several times). From the Assacher Scharte, follow the forest road until you reach the asphalt road. To the right of this road, there are signs pointing to hiking trail no. 679 to the Stoderzinken. We stay on this beautiful path until we reach the signpost Rosemialm. To the right we continue to the Steinerhaus and the signpost Stoderkircherl. Hikers who are free from giddiness and sure-footed can now climb the Florarsteig. About 100 meters in altitude, the path climbs steeply over a rocky ridge. All others can return to the Peter Rosegger memorial and continue on the insured path to the summit. The way back is the same as the way there.
Walking time: about 2.5 hours to the Steinerhaus, from the Steinerhaus via the Kircherl to the summit 1.5 hours.
Recommendation: Let a cab pick you up at the Stoderzinken and bring you back to your car in a safe and secure way (approx. 30 minutes by car).
Quote from the poet Peter Rosegger, whom a monument on the Stoderzinken is dedicated: "What should I write in these mountains full of sunshine - I can only be silent and blessed in devotion!"
- Assach: Postbus (L900) - Exit: Assach fire department (only at schooltime in Austria) or Assach main road
- Stoderzinken: no public bus connection
