ADVENT MARKETS IN STYRIA

The pre-Christmas season means one thing above all in Styria: Advent. The festive season begins with the opening of the Christmas markets, inviting you to enjoy mulled wine and biscuits, browse local handicrafts or have a go at making something yourself.

 

Styria prepares for Christmas in a multitude of ways and there is so much to do, visit, buy and taste between Bad Aussee and Bad Radkersburg right up until the 24th December. From the largest Advent markets known beyond the borders such as Mariazell and Graz to more atmospheric affairs such as at the Grottenhof in Southern Styria or in the city of Leoben.

THE LOVELIEST CHRISTMAS MARKETS

The lead up to Christmas is also the time of the Advent markets in Styria. The magic of the season takes hold of all as they stroll around the stalls, sampling or admiring what’s on offer. Here is a selection of the loveliest Christmas markets in the Green Heart:
