Power place hike 4: Lake Etrachsee

Power place tour to the beautiful lake Etrachsee. Along the tour there are 4 places with special quality. The fourth place is accessible by car.

Place 4.1. Earth temple (looking into the land) - near the ski lift

Place 4.2. Source of life force (feel into the land) - to the right of the trout station on the shore

Place 4.3. Source of life force (feel into the land) - at the end of the circular trail on the left shore

Place 4.4. Ulrich's Church - in the light of the trees (feel into the land) - can be reached via the municipal road

More information

East: From Vienna on the A2 and S6 to Leoben and St. Michael i. d. O., continue on the S36 to Judenburg and on the B96 to Murau. From Murau via Ranten to Krakau.

West, North: From Bregenz/Innsbruck via the A12, A93 and A8 to Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 to St. Michael im Lungau. From here, take the B96 to Tamsweg and continue in the direction of Murau via Sauerfaeld to Krakau.

South: From Klagenfurt on the B83 to Scheifling. Then on the B96 to Murau and further into the Krakau.

Immediately after the Hotel Stigenwirth the path branches off to the lake Etrachsee and leads over a slightly ascending road to the farmstead vlg. Höfl. After about another 100m in an easterly direction, footpath no. 7 branches off to Lake Etrachsee. Follow the circular pah around the lake and retourn along the same path.

East: From Vienna south station by train via Bruck a. d. Mur and Judenburg to Unzmarkt. From Unzmarkt by narrow-gauge railroad or bus 890 to Murau-Stolzalpe. From there by bus 895 to Krakau. From Graz by train to Bruck a. d. Mur, change to Unzmarkt.

West, North: By train from Bregenz/Innsbruck/Salzburg/Linz to Radstadt. Continue with bus 780 via Mauterndorf to Tamsweg. From Tamsweg with the regional train to Murau-Stolzalpe and with the bus 895 to Krakau.

South: From Klagenfurt by train to Unzmarkt and further by narrow-gauge railroad to Murau-Stolzalpe. Then by bus 895 to Krakau.

Parking is available directly at the Krakow Tourist Office.
The ideal time for this tour is from May to October. Information brochures are available at the various information offices.
