Since the beginning of his career as an author, Bernhard Aichner has written the first editions of his books by hand and has explored his texts visually.
The manuscripts become the basis for his mixed media works, etchings and lithographs. His preoccupation with calligraphy and language, color and structure becomes a meditative process for him. He creates poetic overwritings, literary miniatures on canvas and paper.
