Circular trail with over 50 Nativity Scenes
Escape from hectic everyday life and enjoy lovingly designed nativity scenes when Gossendorf becomes a nativity scenes village during Advent. Along the approximately five-kilometer-long circular path, stars point the way to the nativity scenes individually designed by private individuals and families. The nativity Trail around Gossendorf is open to the public every day from the first Sunday in Advent until 6 January (Epiphany). Each nativity scene is unique and often made of pure natural materials (such as roots, wood, moss, twigs, hay, chestnuts and much more). You can also admire a stable nativity scene with live animals or a wine yard nativity scene. "Over 50 nativity scenes await onlookers each year," reveals initiator Mag. Josef Ganster. The Gossendorfer is together with local mayor Helmut Marbler proud of the achievement of the local community.
