A leisurely and individual tour through the town centre of Feldbach - as a couple or with friends and colleagues. Garnished with appetising stops, interesting words about cooking and enjoyment as well as the special features of the products. There is no need for a big breakfast this morning, the morning is promising. The focus is on visits to six restaurants with tastings from the kitchen and (wine) cellar, many of which use ingredients from producers along the culinary Vulkanland Route66. Strolling and feasting is the motto.
Starting from the most colourful church tower in the world, you can start your individual culinary tour every Saturday at 9 or 10 am.At the farmers‘ market on the main square, Michaela from Obsthof Stangl is your first port of call for a vitamin-rich “good morning” and will serve you two farmers’ market rolls, a vitamin shot and a schnapps tea.For many people, a good morning conjures up the image of good coffee before their eyes.It is served in the cheekily staged Rescheria coffee house, with fine rolls and, of course, with charm and a story to go with it; tea drinkers are also welcome.Pfeiler's Bürgerstüberl in the Bürgergasse of the same name has a long tradition. The regional snacks served with a glass of frizzante are just as creative as the cookware hanging from the ceiling in the form of chandeliers. In the Bauernstadl, Austria's largest regional market, you can sample mulled wine and Christmas biscuits. David tells the different stories behind them. The glass door to Dominik von Einfach Fitz, who was named Austria's best patissier in 2013, is also located here at the intersection with the former Ungartor. The confectioner invites you into his glass factory for a sweet Christmas 3-way flight. Just a few steps along the Ringstrasse, the idyllic Altstadtgasse lures you directly into Sissi's Weinbar. A selection of three Christmas hot drinks made from wine are served to you with commentary.
