Book presentation of the children's book about the "Weltmaschine" (world machine), followed by a cosy pre-Christmas evening at the "Weltmaschine" (world machine)
Franz Gsellmann's "world machine" is a kinetic work of art that now has a global fan club. Created over 23 years by a farmer from south-east Styria, it consists of thousands of parts that were painstakingly collected from scrap yards and flea markets. It whistles and flashes, rattles and turns and amazes every child, whether they are 8 or 80.
The American Beth Anderson has even written a children's book about it, which has now been published in German. The event begins with the book presentation in the community hall with the author participating via video conference. This will be followed by a cosy pre-Christmas evening with free admission to the Weltmaschine. Guests will be able to warm themselves with a sing-along and mulled wine and pancakes from the open fire and purchase the finest local handicraft products as Christmas gifts in the Weltmaschine shop. A contemplative and inspiring evening for the whole family!
