The young forger Liliane Feigl as a new protagonist and investigator
For years, Viennese author Beate Maly has established herself throughout the German-speaking world (total circulation: over 500,000) as an extremely versatile, closely observing and researching historical storyteller. The crime novel has always played a major role in her work. In her new series about Liliane "Lili" Feigl, who comes from a poor background, she brings turn-of-the-century Vienna to life in an exciting and impressive way. Lili, who learned the "craft" of counterfeiting from her father and successfully resists the pressure to earn money through love for sale, discovers her artistic passion in the environment of the Wiener Werkstätte.
However, she cannot give in to this in the face of serious suspicions of murder against her and has to quickly develop new talents to get her head out of a noose.
