You have been presenting African-American church music with historical Negro spirituals and gospels on stages, at festivals and in churches throughout Europe for over 20 years. Among others, the GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL have performed as the choir of: Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Howard Carpendale, Eloy de Joung, Bonnie Tyler, Ben Zucker, Florian Silbereisen, Mireille Mathieu, Peter Kraus, André Rieu, Ross Anthony, Nana Mouskouri, Glasperlenspiel, Art Garfunkel Jr, David Hasselhoff and Helene Fischer.
Get ready for a lot, because the GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL have announced their arrival from New York/USA.
“Clap your hands...”, ‘stamp your feet...’, ‘shout Hallelujah....’ will be the order of the day when the audience is invited to join in and experience the music. The sometimes melancholy, sometimes rousingly spirited gospels, supported by the fantastic rhythm section, “get under your skin” like hardly any other music. And yet these are church songs as they are sung in the services of the “Black Churches” in the USA and the Caribbean.
The GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL invite you on a journey through a century of spirituals, traditionals and gospels in their very personal and inimitable way. This music expresses like no other the attitude to life, the pride and the devotion of the vast majority of the black population in the USA.
The extensive musical repertoire of these charismatic voices gives us an idea that the roots of almost all the important “modern” music styles of the last century (blues, jazz, rock, beat, etc.) reach back to gospel music. Modern gospel pieces as well as songs such as “Oh When The Saints”, “Glory Glory Hallelujah”, “Swing Low Sweet Chariot ‘, ’Motherless Child”, “Joshua fit the Battle of Jericho ‘, ’O Happy Day” invite the audience to listen and join in.
