August Schmölzer, born in St. Stefan ob Stainz in 1958, trained as a chef, Oberkrainer musician, studied acting at Graz University of the Arts, actor and author. Lives as a freelance artist in Western Styria. 2013 awarded the working title “Professor” and voted Austrian of the Year for his humanitarian commitment to Gustl58, 2015 awarded the Grand Decoration of Honor of the Province of Styria, 2020 awarded the professional title “Kammerschauspieler”, 2023 awarded the Grimme Prize of the Student Jury.
