In 1908-1910 the church was built in the Secession style according to the plans of the well-known Protestant church architect Prof. Otto Kuhlman (Berlin).
Before the church was built, services were held in the "Eiskeller" in Stiegengasse. The furnishings of the church date from the time of construction. The pulpit altar in the mural was designed by Birkle and Thomer (Berlin), the organ was donated in 1910. Already in 1903 the adjoining parsonage was built. In 1912 - 1913 a children's home was built. From 1945 - 1955 it was the seat of the British occupation authorities. After 1945, the house served as a dormitory.
