In 1959, in the course of a redesign of the church square, the so-called "fish fountain" was created. It was made by the Feldbach stonemason and later mayor Alois Harmtodt. The design of the sculpture of the fish was largely in the hands of the employees Maxentius Wolf and Janisch.
From the beginning, the fish fountain enjoyed extraordinary popularity. Thousands of times it was used as a photo motif and so there are pictures of countless people from Feldbach sitting on this very fish when they were young. The Fish Fountain is considered a modern monument of the city of Feldbach due to its classical architectural design, representative of the time of its creation, combined with its popularity. The Fish Fountain is surrounded by the magnificent "Villa Hold", the parish church of St. Leonhard and the colorful church tower.
