The view of southeastern Styria is gorgeous. But also exciting is the view into the open show kitchen, which creates new creations every day - gladly also with an international touch.
It is a wonderful symbiosis that awaits visitors to Lounge 81 in Steinbach near Bad Gleichenberg: On the first floor, sculptor and wood carver Thomas Rauch is working on new works of art; on the second floor, Christina Luger is constantly at work on new culinary delights. Through the high glass fronts, one believes oneself to be in nature, the panorama of the southeast Styrian hills enchants again and again, and then only the pleasure on the plate and in the glass.
Christina Luger changes her menu daily. Actually, there is no menu at all, the current dishes can be found on the notice board. Only market-fresh products from producers in southeastern Styria make their way from the show kitchen to the plate. If the agony of choice is too great, you can simply indulge in the surprise menu with confidence. Great wine selection! Thomas Rauch takes over the charming service part.
From time to time, Christina Luger also lets you look deep into her cooking pots - the dates for the cooking classes are online on her website. The premises of Lounge 81 can also be booked exclusively for seminars or parties.
