In Bad Radkersburg, the "wheel" is not only anchored in the name, but is omnipresent. Now the spa town has one more "bike" attraction.
A pump track for youngsters on the grounds of the secondary school sports facility adds an extra boost to the cycling experience.
Young and old can ride their laps on an approx. 400m² asphalted circuit by "pumping", i.e. by applying pressure to the bike. The waves and bends of different heights also invite you to learn tricks and jumps. "With the support of the LEADER program, the municipality has succeeded in creating a new highlight for young people in the entire region.
The Apače/Slovenia Bike Club has already called us and congratulated us on the pump track," says Mayor Karl Lautner, delighted with the cross-border impact of this new tourist attraction. In order to teach young people about the correct riding style, rules of conduct and the need for the right equipment, there are two mornings as part of the Ferien(s)pass program where regional cycling pros pass on tips and tricks.
