On the Prädiberg with a distant view of Riegersburg Castle, the Riedler family has been cultivating wine for 40 years. The fact that they are now starting to bottle the sustainably farmed grapes under their own brand bodes well. After all, Waltraud and Josef have already sold their grapes to the best Styrian wineries. So the basis is a very happy one.
Now the production business will become a refining business with a wine bar. This is particularly pleasing for those who enjoy hiking, as the Riedler family's winery is located directly on the popular hiking trail through the Fisswaldweg.
New varieties in preparation
The Feldbach winery currently offers Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Morillon, a smooth, fruity cuvée of Zweigelt and Wildbacher, and s'Roserl, a Frizzante. Other varieties, including Goldmuskateller and Sauvignon Blanc, have already been planted out. On the farm, the couple, who are active in the health sector, want to provide the appropriate cellar technology in the coming years.
