The Thermenland fountain on Stadt-Zug-Platz as the focal point of the roundabout positions the town of Fürstenfeld as the thermal capital.
After all, this fountain stands as a landmark for the clean energy production from the earth's interior, the heating of public buildings and numerous households with thermal water from a depth of 1,950 metres. At the same time, this fountain also symbolises the power of the water from the numerous thermal boreholes in this region.
Fürstenfeld is the centre of the thermal spas in the thermal region of Styria and Burgenland.
A fitting synergy between heaven and earth is found in the following biblical myth: In the beginning there was the great nothingness: the earth was desolate and empty, darkness reigned over the primeval flood. But then God divided the world into two halves: a vault separated the upper water from the lower water. And God called the vault heaven.
So, according to the Old Testament, there is an inexhaustible supply of water beneath the surface of the earth.
