RiegersburgWe warmly welcome you to our Buschenschank Erich Christiner.
Just a few kilometers from the largest castle complex in Styria, the Riegersburg, we run our Buschenschank and our winery .
On the so-called “Rosenberg”, we offer our own wines and juices and serve typical Styrian specialties and seasonal delicacies. The meat comes from Styrian Vulkanland pigs, which are processed by Erich. The meat is cured and smoked, cooked or air-dried, other types of meat are well seasoned and roasted. Smoked sausage, homemade sausage, liver spread and minced meat are made according to a popular recipe. This means that our typical Brettjause is made almost exclusively from our own specialties (with the exception of cheese).
EATING WITH PLEASURE - FEELING - THE IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY
"Käferbohnen", eggs and horseradish come from farmers in our region - as do the vegetables from early summer to late fall. We not only want to know where our food comes from, we also want to support local traders and farmers. We enjoy harvesting herbs and salads from Elfie's garden and using them in the Buschenschank kitchen.
