Winery
‘Those who can savour no longer drink wine, but taste secrets’, as the Spanish artist Salvador Dali so aptly put it.
Because we are committed to sustainability, it is particularly important to us to make the best possible use of the resources available to us. That is why we carefully tend our old vines instead of uprooting them. Many of our vines are almost 50 years old and still producing. Our wine grows almost exclusively on weathered volcanic rock, characterised by the region's former volcanoes. And so we try to bring the uniqueness of Eastern Styria into the bottle. The grapes for our award-winning Pinot Blanc and Roesler Barrique as well as the Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Müller Thurgau, Blauer Zweigelt, Blauburger and Rathay varieties grow in five different vineyards on around three hectares. Fine distillery
Since 2016, we have been processing fruit from our own orchard - such as apples, pears, cherries, apricots, Kriecherl plums, damsons and pomace (press residue) - into fine Styrian quality brandies in our distillery. We have already had many successes and have received several awards for our cherry brandy. We attach great importance to the unadulterated fruity flavour of a brandy, which we support by storing it in glass balloons. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
