The Dornbrunnen is located at the western end of the main street of the Sutter Haus. Until the beginning of the 19th century, there was a municipal horse trough, also known as a horse pond, at this location. The size of the watering place probably corresponded to today's basin.
In the course of the redesign of the main street in 2002, a modification was carried out. The water emerged via seven thorns This fountain was built according to the plans of the renowned architect Prof. Boris Prodrecca in the years and disappeared via gratings into an invisible basin.
