Lithopuncture path (Lithopunkturweg)

Lithopuncture is a method of ecological healing and balancing developed by Marko Pogacnik. It is related to acupuncture of the human body. "Lithopuncture" means placement and precise alignment of stone pillars on the power paths or power points of the landscape.
In the columns are carved signs called cosmograms. On a large scale, Bad Radkersburg is connected to a powerful axis of force that connects the Austrian part of Styria with the Gulf of Trieste via the Ljubiljana lowlands. Its function is to keep the European space anchored in its center, balancing it between heaven and earth.

1. Balance between heaven and earth
The cosmogram shows the two poles of the force axis in the form of two spirals dancing with each other.

2. Inclusion in the force field of the place
The role of the stone is to include the spiral in the force field of Bad Radkersburg.

3. Dynamization and grounding
The stone has the function to ground and dynamize the power spiral.

4. Centered in the middle
The stone has the function to connect the power of the spiral with the archetype of Bad Radkersburg, to stimulate the interaction between the spiral and the urban structure.

5. Identity of the urban landscape
The bronze plate is located exactly at the actual source point between the medieval staking point of the city and the Marian column.

6. The threshold of eternity
Stone on the hill behind the parish church in Gornja Radgona (Slovenia). Two power lines cross here.

7. Relationship with Gornja Radgona
Connection between Bad Radkersburg and Gornja Radgona.

8. Reconnection with the element of water
This stone supports the watery quality of Bad Radkersburg's geomancy stelae.
In August 2001, Slovenian artists Marko and Marika Pogacnik chiseled out a group of lithopuncture stones and placed them on specific acupuncture points in the village.
