Be it only the former castles on the Wildon castle hill, the castles Schwarzenegg, Freibühel, Murstätten, Eybesfeld and Wildon, old burgher and farm houses or the parish churches St. Lorenzen am Hengsberg, St. Magdalena zu Wildon and St. Margarethen bei Lebring - the four Hengsberg communities are rich in historical and architectural monuments from the Middle Ages to modern times. Moreover, Hengsberg was the seat of the original and mother parish for the entire Kainach Valley.
