Weg Nr. 6 Tatscherrunde

Trail no. 6 starts at the “Grüner Specht” inn and leads past the spa hotel to the Kump inn. From there, it continues along the residential street to its end, where a footpath begins along the Blahbach stream. The path runs idyllically past the landscape pond and an old lime kiln to the Moschitz farmstead. Here we branch off to the right and follow a steep path uphill. After a section of forest, we reach the mountain road and hike uphill past farms and the “Maria Schnee” chapel. Via the “Ohrn-Kehre” (1420 m) we then head downhill back towards Oberzeiring.
Trail no. 6 starts at the “Grüner Specht” inn and leads past the spa hotel to the Kump inn. From there, the trail continues straight ahead into the residential street to the end, where a footpath continues along the Blahbach stream. The path runs idyllically across a meadow, past a landscaped pond and an old lime kiln to the Moschitz farmstead. Here we branch off to the right and follow a steep hiking trail uphill. After a short flat section through the forest, we reach the farmstead vlg. Tatscher and follow the access road to the Höhenstraße. To the right, the path leads uphill past farms and the “Maria Schnee” chapel, which offers a beautiful view of Oberzeiring. Continue to the “Ohrn-Kehre” (1420 m), the highest point of the hike. The descent leads through the forest to the farmstead vlg. Taurer and further along the Interessentenweg to the Oberzeiring middle school. We return to the starting point at the market square on the sidewalk.

Trail no. 6 starts at the Grüner Specht inn and takes us past the Kurhotel to the Kump inn. Here we continue straight ahead into the residential street to its end. Here, only a footpath continues along the Blahbach stream. The footpath now leads into a wide meadow, past a landscaped pond and takes us idyllically along the edge of the forest and past an old lime kiln to the Moschitz farmstead. Here we branch off to the right directly in front of the farmhouse and follow the well-trodden hiking trail steadily uphill. After a short flat section, the path leads uphill through the forest until we reach the farm access road at the vlg. Tatscher farm until we reach the farm access road. We follow the farm access road slightly uphill to the left until we reach the asphalted mountain road. There we turn right uphill. Following the mountain road, we pass the farmstead vlg. Schrunner, 2 vacation homes and 2 farms and see the “Maria Schnee” chapel on the right. From here you have a wonderful view of the village of Oberzeiring. We now walk past the toll station on the mountain road and after a few bends we reach the highest point of the hike, the so-called “Ohrn-Kehre” (1420 m) with the shelter for the equipment of the Tauernwindpark.
From the “Ohrn-Kehre” we follow the signpost “Oberzeiring” downhill through the forest and after a while reach a meadow above the farmstead vlg. Taurer farm. At vlg. Taurer, we take the path between the stables and the residential building down into the valley and follow the Interessentenweg for approx. 2.5 km until we reach the main road at the Oberzeiring secondary school. We walk back to the starting point at the market square on the sidewalk.
Close to the starting point is the Oberzeiring show mine, which is definitely worth a visit.
