"It is really a very diverse collection and you should take your time to immerse yourself in a time long gone," Christine Gamsjäger describes her small exhibition.
The loom, made for weaving Fleckerlteppich, and later the bobbin lace and old bobbin lace pillows were the beginning of the private collection of the Upper Styrian. Doll's houses, small and large doll's houses, merchant's stores, doll's carriages and rocking horses also find their place here. They stand next to old sewing machines, irons and many quaint and old handicraft tools. A collection of early needlework books invites you to browse.
The doll's houses and kitchens have been lovingly furnished with every detail (from the pasta strainer to the wall clock), but also with fine old handicrafts (whether embroidered or bobbin lace, needlepoint or net fillet). Also the stove is not missing in any kitchen.
