Now the actual hiking trail begins, you cross a meadow to a mountain hut. If you are looking for nature, landscape, peace, clean air and relaxation during your holiday, you are in good hands here. Our path leads further, through woods and meadows steadily upwards, always opening wonderful views into the Salzatal, until after about 1 hour you reach the Bergbauern-Lackneralm. We make ourselves comfortable on the terrace and enjoy the view down to the village of Palfau and into the Salzatal to the Hochschwab massif.
From mid-May to mid-September the hut is open on weekends, during the week for groups by appointment. 16 Beds are available for overnight stays, either for celebrations or as a starting point for the summit tour to the Gamsstein the next morning.
