After leaving the village area, the gradual ascent begins on unpaved paths. The path leads through wooded sections, which become denser as you ascend and provide shade. There are small clearings along the way that offer the first views of the surrounding region. The route climbs steadily up to the Sillwegeraussichtswarte.
At the highest point of your route, the Sillwegeraussichtswarte, you will be rewarded with a far-reaching view. On clear days, the view extends as far as the surrounding mountains and valleys of the Mur Valley. The Sillwegeraussichtswarte is the ideal place to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
The way back leads from the viewpoint down via the Sillweg. This section is mostly on wide forest paths and has fewer steep sections, making the descent pleasant. The trail takes you back towards the center of Fohnsdorf, where the tour ends at the main square.
