Montanweg-Kogelberg mining, Ratten
This mining trail offers a leisurely circular walk with a magnificent view and lots of interesting information about mining in earlier times.
The "Friedensstollen" (show gallery), closed in 1960, is the starting point of the mining trail. Along the trail, you can learn how lignite was mined in those days at original sites of Ratten mining with the help of boards.
The blue and white markings of the mining trail start at the mining museum - in addition, yellow boards with the inscription Mining Museum show the way.
