

Geierkogel
A longer but impressive hike
We start at the Hohentauern village square and follow the signs to Himmlischenplatzerl Wichtlhütte. From the Wichtelhütte continue to the "Kainzenboden". The last section to the Geierkogel is a little more challenging.

Coming via the A9, take the Trieben exit, then follow the B114 to Hohentauern.
Coming via the S36, turn onto the B114 at St. Peter from Judenburg and follow it to Hohentauern.
Wir beginnen am Dorfplatz in Hohentauern und folgen den Wegweisern zum Himmlischenplatzerl und zur Wichtlhütte. Von der Wichtelhütte aus setzen wir unsere Wanderung fort und gelangen zum “Kainzenboden”. Das letzte Stück bis zum Geierkogel erfordert etwas mehr Geschick und Ausdauer, aber die Aussicht von dort oben ist es definitiv wert!
