Those who do not fit into a box either have too big of a mouth or carry too big of an instrument. Betty O has both. The woman from Southern Styria, who was the first Austrian to bring home the international culture market award "Freiburger Leiter," rhymes through the parables of life at the piano and is not limited to facets of CABARET.
Initially cast as a musical performer for world stars like Roman Polanski and Björn Ulvaeus, the entertainer and songwriter has long been transforming everything that weighs on her mind into colorful to bittersweet mouthpiece songs, with a hint of leftover sugar in her voice and acidity in her lyrics. And, due to her background, sometimes that includes South Styrian wine. So when Betty O pours her multifaceted programs, no eye remains dry, and the glass is always half full instead of half empty.
