The children's opera Papageno stages “Hansel and Gretel” as an interactive experience in which the young audience is actively involved and well-known melodies such as “Suse, dear Suse, what's rustling in the straw?”, “Brother, come dance with me” and “A little man stands in the forest” are played, while the timeless story of the hungry siblings, the little crispy house and the wicked witch is brought to life in a child-friendly and entertaining way through a mixture of prose, music and play.
