Großlobming
Großlobming is a district that lies directly on the Mur cycle path. Numerous circular paths offer locals and guests numerous opportunities to take beautiful walks. Around the castle there is now a school and an exceptional herb garden. Numerous high-quality inns are happy to welcome locals and guests to the region.
Kleinlobming
Kleinlobming is a district with a small, inviting village centre that lies along numerous hiking routes. There are several beautiful circular hiking trails starting from here. It is also the starting point for a hike to the Steinplan, the local mountain of Knittelfeld. With its own swimming pool, ski lift and ice skating rink, Kleinlobming has always had a very good tourist infrastructure, which is not only used by the many regular guests.
History & History
The Lobming valley was settled by Slavic settlers in the years 7 and 8 A.D. This can be seen from the Slavic place names Lobming (from lom) and Lobmingbach (from lomnik). The first documentary mention of Lobming is found in 927.
