Hike to an often " unnoticed" summit of the Schladming Tauern with stunning panoramic views of the Enns Valley .
On this mountain tour the Schafsinn-Rundweg at Hauser Kaibling is extended by a summit victory - Bärfallspitze (2,150 m). For all hikers who would like to follow in the footsteps of the herd of sheep on Hauser Kaibling :-)

Ennstalbundesstraße (B320) - Haus im Ennstal:

  • valley station Schladminger Tauern cable car (above the catholic church in Haus im Ennstal)
  • valley station Hauser Kaibling cable car (directly next to the main road)
The great difference in altitude can be comfortably overcome with the Schladminger Tauern cable car or Hauser Kaibling cable car & chair lift Quattralpina. From the top station of the cable car, the path leads along the Schafsinn-Rundweg to the Rossfeldsattel. From there follow the signs. In approx. 45 min. you reach the Bärfallspitze and enjoy the wonderful panoramic view into the valley. The descent is via trail no. 780 to the Kaiblingalm. From there it is a comfortable forest path back to the top station.
If you want to "win" a double summit victory, the tour starts from the cable car mountain station over the Hauser Kaibling summit (2,015 m) and on to the Rossfeldsattel and from there up to the Bärfallspitze.

Safety information

Safety on the mountainside: changes in the weather, sudden fall in temperature, thunder storms, wind, fog and snow fields are all objective dangers and require the correct behaviour whilst underway. the landlords of the huts are all very knowledgeable about the mountains and can give you good tips about the weather and the routes. Insufficient equipment, exaggerated opinion of ones capabilities, frivolousness, poor health condition and a false evaluation of the situation can lead to a critical situation. In thunder storms: summits, crest-sites and safety rope aids are to be avoided.
