At the beginning, the quiet country road leads us through the district of Neusiedl. We follow the road uphill until shortly before the Mitterberghütte where we follow the signs to the right into the forest. On quiet forest paths we go around the Mitterberg. The route runs mostly through woodland with wonderful views of Lassing and Liezen.
At the first forest crossroads, you can choose whether to take hiking trail 1A. This is a little shorter and you stay a little higher, both paths lead you to the Jakobskapelle chapel.
After this beautiful resting place we go south downhill through Altlassing. There, follow the signs to the right back to the starting point.

There is a beach volleyball court, table tennis and a climbing wall for free use. Adjacent to the lake is a tennis court (for a fee).
The restaurant and a cocktail bar invite you to linger.
The lake restaurant is open all year round.
