Ceremonial presentation of the Abakus year 2023 on the Kulmleitenwiese in Puch bei Weiz

Friday, November 15, 2024 from 7 pm Alternative date in case of bad weather Saturday, November 16, 2024 Ceremonial presentation of the Abakus year 2023 THE ABAKUS - unique apple schnapps from Puch Far-sighted and courageous men from the region around the apple village of Puch joined forces many years ago to create the highest spiritualization of the Styrian apple.

The Abakus - the name of this special schnapps - is produced in well-guarded secrecy and in strict compliance with the rules of the Apfelmänner, using only the best apples from each vintage. The Apfelmänner distil a strictly regulated 1444 bottles per vintage from the very best apples. The Abakus matures gently for at least a year on clay bricks from the Keltenberge Kulm in the cool climes of the Apfelhaus before it is presented in a festive ceremony and released for sale. It is already regarded as the “zero meridian of good taste” and will delight all those who prove themselves worthy and equal to it.
