Gabriele Köhlmeier “Unheard of”
Lecture/Theatre/Comedy
A look at the world after 5,000 years of patriarchy - a tragic farce by and with Gabriele Köhlmeier
In a scenic monologue, an exciting mix of lecture and theater, of drama and tragic comedy, the actress Gabriele Köhlmeier takes a look at the world from a female perspective and asks herself why it is the way it is. And how it used to be.
And how it could be. How is it possible that for thousands of years there were almost no women in historiography? Did they not exist, were they not worth mentioning, did they achieve nothing? And why did they put up with this, this exclusion and locking up, the women? Didn't they feel like defending themselves? Didn't they want to? Were they not allowed? And where are we today? And where would we possibly be if women had had their say, if they had been heard, if women had had a say? Back then, a long, long time ago? Would the world look a little different today, a little more peaceful?
So many questions. There will be a few answers on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 8 p.m., in the Gleisdorfer Kulturkeller.
