La Strada: Mirage

The basis of the stage design is the concentric form, which embodies the impulse of traditional dances. The energy circulates between the edges and the center of the stage.
By integrating contradictions within a piece of music or choreography, contrasting emotions are evoked in the audience, who are thus actively involved in the performance. The music, the voices and the dancers appear from different directions. The audience has the freedom to move within the space and follow the elements that particularly appeal to them. This allows them to experience their own unique part of the performance at the same time. Instead of a single stage, there are several locations that become part of a whole in their individuality. The sound scenography blends seamlessly with the circular stage set, immersing the audience in a 360° experience that brings the show to life in an organic way. Through this collective energy, the movement becomes a force that creates a fascinating utopia, a kind of pipe dream, a mirage that allows us all to experience a day of celebration together despite the challenges in our world.
