Der große Jogl 2,5 Etappen: Fischbach - Masenberg, Fishbach
The third stage of the touring mountain bike route “Der große Jogl” leads from Fischbach via Birkfeld, Strallegg and Wenigzell to Masenberg.
The stage from Fischbach to Masenberg takes around nine hours. From Fischbach, the tour takes us to the market town of Birkfeld, with numerous shopping and refreshment opportunities. The home of the “Edlseer” is also known for the delicious Felber chocolates from its own factory, the sound tunnel and the Feistritztalbahn. You reach Strallegg along a section of the R8 Feistritztal cycle path, which was built on a former railroad line. Strallegg has already won several awards in the Styrian flower decoration competition. The next municipality on the tour is Wenigzell. The professional athletes of the Tour of Austria celebrated their finish here in 2018. The route leads over the “Toten Mann” to Miesenbach and then to the Masenberg.
A special service along the tour “Der große Jogl” is the luggage transport - simply cycle carefree, without any annoying extra luggage. While you are out and about, your luggage will be taken to your next stage destination (by 5 p.m. at the latest).

More information
- From Fischbach we cycle to Birkfeld
- From Birkfeld we cycle approx. 4 km on the Feistritztalradweg R8 and turn right to Strallegg
- We ride past the town center in the direction of the ski lift
- After the Posch snack station, we keep right and cycle towards Wenigzell
- We start in Wenigzell and cycle past the church to the “Toter Mann” junction
Now there are two options:
- 1. we ride to the wild meadow
- 2. we ride comfortably through the center of Miesenbach.
- Now we continue to the Schloffereck
- From the Schloffereck we ride to the Kreuzwirt inn
- From there we continue to the Masenberg
Take advantage of the numerous refreshment stops along the way.

Fairly sunny with scattered clouds. Showers will be possible towards evening.
Dry and partly sunny throughout the day, with cloudy periods from time to time.
