HWW-Hiking route: Rohrbach/Lafnitz - Lebing - Eichberg/Aussichtsturm - Eichberg - Lafnitz (circular trail)
This HWW hiking route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW hiking route connects the village centers of Rohrbach/Lafnitz, Eichberg and Lafnitz. Along the route you come to the HWW station Tempeleleiten/Chapel. There you will learn which finds indicate that iron ore was mined there in Celtic and Roman times.

Arrival by car
- Follow the highway A2.
- Take the exit 115 Hartberg.
- Turn left onto the B54 and follow the signs towards Lafnitz.
- Drive through the village of Lafnitz and continue on the B54 for about 8 km.
- Turn left onto the L408 in the direction of Rohrbach.
- After about 3 km you will reach Rohrbach an der Lafnitz.
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- The HWW hiking route starts in the center of Rohrbach an der Lafnitz.
- Continue via Eichberg and Lafnitz.
- Along the route you come to the HWW station Tempeleleiten/Kapelle.
We recommend a stop at the G.E.R.A Park in Eichberg or a visit to an exhibition at Aichberg Castle.
