"alpannonia" - feeder: Waldbach - Hochwechsel, Waldbach

From the UNESCO World Heritage Site Semmering or from the high altitude health resort Fischbach to the edge of the Pannonian plain near Köszeg leads a path full of variety and attractions of nature: alpannonia®. Another possibility would be to start the alpannonia long-distance hiking trail in Waldbach. A yellow marked alpannonia feeder trail then leads you to the Hochwechsel. This stage joins the main alpannonia trail and nothing stands in the way of unlimited hiking pleasure.
The stage from Waldbach to the Hochwechsel starts at the village square of the community Waldbach, which is located at the foot of the Hochwechsel. Among other things, Waldbach is also known for the water games, which have been operated by the Wiedner family for over 50 years. Then you hike up to the Spitzbauer mountain inn near the Hochwechsellifts. From there you continue on to the 1743 m high Hochwechsel with its magnificent panoramic view.
