From Gasthaus Stixpeter we walk along the L361 country road towards Puch. The Kulm is always in front of us. The path is marked up to the Kulm summit with red-white-red markings and yellow direction signs with the letters WH (Wechselberglandhöhenweg).

We follow this path to HARL'S CAFE-BAR and then turn left into Kulmstraße. After approx. 200 m, we walk past a settlement on the right and then through the forest and rejoin Kulmstraße. After another 250 m on Kulmstraße, turn left and follow the markings to the Kulm summit.

If you would like to continue this stage to Pöllau, continue in the same way:

After a magnificent panoramic view as far as the Hungarian Plain, we leave the Kulm summit heading southeast. After the turning gate, we continue north, where we cross the Kulm road and walk briefly through a wooded area. In front of us is the Steirische Schnitzelwirt. We then follow hiking trail 771 towards Stubenberg am See. After crossing the Feistritz river, we head north, cross the L409 country road and turn right after the warehouse onto the footpath to Stubenberg. Once in the town center, continue in the direction of Zeil, Michlhof, path 4, Stelzer-Lex. Turn right before the inn and after approx. 200 m turn left uphill. Keep right at the next fork after approx. 400 m and follow hiking trail 944 to Pöllau, 425 m.
