Flair of the South - Premstätten

You can feel the closeness to the south on this leisurely tour on mainly flat cycle paths and quiet side roads. Immerse yourself in the Schwarzlsee and in nature and art in the Austrian Sculpture Park!
The "flair of the south" will accompany you on the comfortable Premstätten circular tour. The municipal office in Premstätten is the ideal start and finish point, because you can also charge your e-bike here and perhaps get a snack for the road from one of the many direct marketers in the village – although this is not really necessary, because you can enjoy a good home-cooked meal in one of the many inns along the route.

The route follows the R9 Erzherzog Johann cycle path to Dobl and branches off in Muttendorf onto the northern part of the R14 Kainachtalradweg. After Lannach the cycle route leads into the beautiful R56 Liebochtal cycle path and from Attendorf we cycle over wooded hills and then after short steep climbs we come to the Florianiberg – just outside Graz yet still rural landscapes with wonderful views and vineyards.

After a rapid descent we reach the pilgrimage church in Strassgang and ride past the natural swimming pool in Strassgang along the HR11 to the Mur. Then on the R2 along the renaturalised banks of the Mur to the turnoff in Feldkirchen back on the R9 and to the sculpture park and Schwarzl swimming lake, two kilometres from our starting point in Premstätten.
