The great Jogl - Stage 1: Vorau - St. Jakob im Walde, Vorau

Closed
The first stage of the touring mountain bike route "Der große Jogl" in the Joglland - Waldheimat region takes us from Market Vorau over about 54 kilometers to St. Jakob im Walde.
The route "Der große Jogl" in the Styrian Joglland starts in the market town of Vorau, which is best known for the Augustinian canon monastery and the open-air museum. Several inns and hotels, shopping facilities and a wide range of leisure activities characterize the market. For enthusiastic sportsmen, the Urkraft Sportevent takes place every year in September.

Via the community of Waldbach-Mönichwald with its local mountain, the Hochwechsel, a recreational lake and numerous inns, the tour leads to the first stage destination of St. Jakob im Walde. St. Jakob im Walde is especially known for the Kräftereich, an exhibition on the theme of powers, myths and realities, and in winter for the Joglland cross-country ski trail.  Sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth at various events: the mountain bike half marathon in September or the Joglland Volkslanglauf and the Joglland Vasa-Lauf attract numerous sports enthusiasts to the Joglland - Waldheimat region.

A special service along the tour "Der große Jogl" is the luggage transport - just cycle carefree, without annoying extra luggage. While you are on the road, your luggage will be brought to your next stage destination (by 17:00 at the latest).
